Clubfoot Solutions is excited to launch our 2023 Braces for Hope Campaign. Our mission’s campaign will run until the end of the year. The goal is to raise enough funds to enable Clubfoot Solutions to send 200 Iowa Braces to clubfoot children in Indonesia!
We are working with our partner in Indonesia, Stepping Stones Bali. Read more about them here. Stepping Stones Bali is working tirelessly to eliminate untreated clubfoot in Indonesia by providing free-of-cost treatment along with capacity building at a national level.
Indonesia has close to 6,000 children born with Clubfoot each year. Clubfoot is a congenital disorder that highly affects mobility if not treated by the non-invasive Ponseti method developed at the University of Iowa.
It is estimated that 30% of children born with clubfoot deformity do not get adequate treatment in Indonesia and are forced to live with this painful deformity. Since 2014, more than 200 children have been treated for clubfoot deformity within the Stepping Stones Bali mission.
With your donation, we can help alleviate the expense of the bracing treatment. Every $25 donation sends a child in Indonesia an Iowa Brace. Please help us help them by giving a clubfoot child a chance to walk, run and live a normal life.
More About Stepping Stones Bali
Stepping Stones Bali (SSB) is a non-profit organization active in Indonesia since 2014 to lay down and connect the right stepping stones for children with physical disabilities. We provide the optimal care and treatment for a child born with a clubfoot. In addition, we are committed to getting all children under the age of five with physical disabilities directly to the right stepping stone. We train and help caregivers in better identification of children with disabilities.
For children with disabilities and their families who do not have access to regular health care, where the guidance and support process requires extra attention for success, we offer our guidance and support free of charge.
In recent years, we have become a well-known clubfoot clinic where many children and caregivers with questions regarding clubfoot are further helped. We make every effort to help all children who are born with clubfoot correctly. It is important to us that as many children as possible receive the right treatment in the first year of age/detection.
We are a “brace-center” and coordinate this phase of care using different ways of care. A quality clubfoot brace is difficult to obtain throughout Indonesia, and Stepping Stones Bali is committed to making this final stage of Ponseti treatment possible for everyone and everywhere.
