Izadora was born in Araguaína – TO, with a clubfoot. This came as a surprise to her family, since her twin brother Izaltino was born with no congenital problems. She began treatment at age two month and wore orthoses for six months; however, over time her clubfoot returned. The doctor in her hometown of Araguaína told her parents she would need to undergo surgery for correction.
But a family friend urged them to instead seek treatment in Brasília, at the Sarah Hospital, which is located 700 miles away from their city.
She was subsequently treated by Ponseti Method, and today is a very happy little girl who can go to school and play with her friends.
